Meeting minutes
April 7th 2008
Club officials
Rob Baker is returning from the UK in May, so Craig Ingram will hand back the reins by the next meeting. Craig has had a busy year, with a lot of work going into developing a Rock Climbing and Abseiling policy with the Dept of Environment & Heritage, on top of all the usual stuff. Many thanks are due to Craig for his efforts.
Norton Summit
A working bee was organised for May 11th to repair the path up to Norton Summit. What is needed are people, picks and shovels, sledge hammers and star droppers. And someone to coordinate the event. If you can help coordinate please email .
There being no other business, Craig showed a DVD of some mad English gits who could apparently afford a video camera, but not a rope.
AGM - June 4th 2007
Election of club officials
All current officeholders were re-elected unopposed for another year. Craig Ingram is performing the local duties of President while Rob is in the UK.
Toilet at Moonarie
There was some discussion of installing a long drop or composting toilet at bottom camp at Moonarie. Possible options and cost will be presented next meeting.
New Moonarie guidebook
Craig and Rob are in the process of putting together a new guide to Moonarie, in a larger format with color topos. It should be out in 12-18 months, and will be a similar format to the Grampians Select Guide.
Fundraising
Several fundraising ideas were discussed, including a bouldering competition, end of year dinner, and issuing a panoramic poster of Moonarie. More discussion to come next meeting.
